Custom wire duct for a distribution center

A general contractor on a major e-commerce distribution center needed custom metal finger duct that off-the-shelf product lines didn't cover. We designed it, laser cut it, and powder coated it.

THE PROBLEM

What the customer brought us

A general contractor building a large e-commerce distribution center needed finger-style wire duct with lids for cable management — in sizes and configurations the standard product catalogs didn't offer. Buying close-enough product and modifying it in the field would have burned installer hours on every run.

WHAT WE DID

How we built it

We designed the duct and lid in CAD to the contractor's field requirements — finger geometry, knockouts, and lid fit — then laser cut the flat patterns, formed them on the press brake, and powder coated the finished parts. Because design, cutting, forming, and coating all happen in-house, revisions between the first article and the production release took days, not weeks.

THE RESULT

What the customer got

The contractor got duct that fit the installation as designed — no field modification — delivered to the project schedule. Design-and-build in sheet metal is exactly the work our laser and powder line were added for.
